Santee Cooper Credit Union broke ground for the construction of its new building located on Rembert C. Dennis Boulevard on Friday, August 13, 2004.

Members of the credit union board, committees, and staff were on hand for this groundbreaking event. The building, which is set to be completed in the Spring 2005, will become the main headquarters for the credit union.

The credit union, which was established in 1953, will continue to serve its members in Moncks Corner and surrounding areas from this new location while offering drive thru lanes, safe deposit boxes, an ATM and a variety of financial services.

The credit union has continued to serve its purpose over the years as a not-for-profit institution, as it maintains its motto, "Where People Are Worth More Than Money."
